Sydney Airport advised on $2.6bn road link

Global firm King & Wood Mallesons has advised Sydney Airport on Sydney Gateway, a high capacity road link, to improve road and rail access to the airport.

Firm: King & Wood Mallesons (Sydney Airport).

Deal: Sydney Gateway will be a high capacity road link between the WestConnex St Peters Interchange and Sydney Airport and is an Australian and NSW government initiative for the airport and surrounding Port Botany area.

Area: Real Estate and Projects

Value: $2.6 billion.

Key players: The KWM team was led by partner Chris Mitchell, who was supported by senior associate Meadhbh Cacciaguidi-Fahy and solicitor Josh Atallah. The firm’s banking group also lent support, via partner Yuen-Yee Cho and senior associate Zoe Anderson.

Deal significance: Commenting on the deal, Mr Mitchell said: “We were delighted to advise Sydney Airport on this significant road project that will provide a new route to enhance connections and reduce travel times to and from the airport.”
