Her expertise will be welcome, the provider said, in light of its acquisition of an existing Registrable Superannuation Entity, which it announced that it was undertaking earlier this year.
Managed Account Holdings chairman Don Sharp said the board was “delighted” that Ms McAlister was joining as a director in what he described as an exciting time for the company and a period of significant change for the financial services industry.
“Pamela’s deep expertise in financial services law, governance and industry regulation will be a critical asset to our business,” he said.
“Her counsel and input will be key in how we service advisers, brokers and fund managers looking to future proof their business models and operations as the shift to non-unitised wealth management services continues.”
Ms McAlister was most recently a partner at Mercer Consulting and has worked at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, Hall and Wilcox, Freehills and Greenfields Lawyers. She was admitted in Victoria as a barrister and solicitor in 1980.
