Clyde & Co has recruited Jacinta Studdert to its Sydney office. The move sees her join her former colleagues Cameron Thomson and John Moran, who also departed NRF for Clyde & Co earlier this year.

Jacinta Studdert joins the firm in her capacity as an environment, development and planning law expert, with her skills and knowledge to complement Clyde & Co’s existing real estate, projects and construction, occupational health and safety, and regulatory practices.

With more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer, and 18 years in capacity as partner, Ms Studdert regularly advises domestic and in-bound investors on their property purchases, requirements for environmental impact assessments, approvals and environmental licences for new projects and existing operations.

She also assists clients with environmental incidents and pollutions responses, clean-up notices and investigations by regulators and the environmental protection agency.

Commenting on her own appointment, Ms Studdert says she has “been watching Clyde & Co with great interest for a number of years, including its role in significant and leading projects.”

She sees in the firm, “an exciting opportunity to work with market-leaders in the real estate, construction, infrastructure, transport and insurance sectors.”

She has previously enjoyed working with several of the Clyde & Co partners and lawyers, and commented that she is looking forward “to rekindling those relationships and growing our service offering to the market” as part of the team.

“Working as a team, the culture of a firm and its leadership are very important to me,” she stated.

Clyde & Co partner and head of the real estate, projects and construction group David McElveney said the firm is looking forward to welcoming Ms Studdert to the partnership.

“The addition of Jacinta’s practice will further bolster our offering to clients in the property, construction, infrastructure and resources sectors. We see significant synergies between Jacinta’s practice and our own.

“Her reputation in the market as a go-to advisor in these areas of law is well known,” he continued.

According to partner and global head of projects and construction John Morris, “Jacinta’s arrival will further cement our position as the go-to firm for contentious and non-contentious construction law advice in real estate, infrastructure and construction.“

“Our Australian practice is an integral part of our global projects & construction offering and continues to go from strength-to-strength,” he said.
