Holding Redlich has confirmed its Cairns office will expand as it pairs up with two local law firms, Law Solutions and All About Law.

The move sees Ranjit Singh, who has been a lawyer in the region for 16 years with Law Solutions, join Holding Redlich's Cairns office as a partner in the firm’s property and real estate group. Meanwhile, All About Law’s Vanessa Maruna joins the Holding Redlich Cairns office as special counsel, specialising in planning and environment law.

Holding Redlich’s Queensland managing partner Paul Venus said the expansion is evidence of the firm’s “long-term commitment to the Far North Queensland region, and also to employing local lawyers and support staff”.

“This is a great milestone and further strengthens our commitment to the local region,” Mr Venus said.

“This expansion means we have a strong team of local lawyers in a broad range of practice areas who are dedicated to servicing our clients across Far North Queensland.”

On joining Holding Redlich, Mr Singh said: “With projects such as the Global Tourism Hub, the Nova City Development and Crystalbrook’s hotel developments on the horizon, it’s an exciting time for Cairns.”

“We are very pleased that our local team will now have the backing of a national firm and all of the resources that brings," Ms Maruna added.

Holding Redlich National Managing Partner Ian Robertson said the expansion of the firm’s Cairns office, which officially opened in October last year, is in response to continuing strong client demand in Far North Queensland.

“We are very pleased with the demand for our services in Far North Queensland and this expansion of our Cairns office will allow us to better serve our clients in the region,” Mr Robertson said.

“Our focus in Cairns is on our strong areas of practice across our firm nationally — property and real estate, construction, planning and environment, disputes, employment and immigration, and all aspects of commercial law,” he said.
