National firm expands tax team
A national law firm has appointed an experienced tax lawyer as a partner in its Melbourne office.
Thomson Geer has welcomed Ron Jorgensen to the partnership. His new role will see him work alongside fellow tax partners based in Melbourne — Arthur Athanasiou and Jeff Chang — as well as consultant Tony Pane.

Mr Jorgensen is an accredited tax specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria. He brings more than 20 years of legal and tax experience to Thomson Geer.
According to a statement from the firm, Mr Jorgensen's main areas of focus are consulting on Commonwealth and state tax laws, tax dispute resolutions, trusts and trust disputes, succession and asset protection, business and investment structuring and tax sensitive commercial and property transactions.
Thomson Geer chief executive partner Adrian Tembel congraulted Mr Jorgensen on his new role.
