David Ellenby and Nick Thorne (pictured) joined the Corrs partnership on 1 April.

A statement issued by Corrs said that Mr Thorne’s work in PNG included advice on corporate and commercial transactions in the country across a range of industries. He will work closely with the PNG team to build Corrs’ already strong practice in that jurisdiction, the firm said.

Meanwhile, Melbourne-based Mr Ellenby has been recognised as Rising Star in Doyle’s Property and Real Estate list, His clients include Mirvac, University of Melbourne, Country Garden Australia, Frasers, AVID Property, Impact Homes, Port Phillip Housing Association and a number of foreign developers.

Corrs boss John Denton AO welcomed the two new partners, saying that they had made invaluable contributions to the firm and clients.
