Melissa McGrath has been named the newest partner at Mills Oakley, who will join the firm’s IP, Health & Life Sciences practice group.

The firm noted that Ms McGrath holds dual qualifications in law and biochemistry, and has been named by peer-reviewed rankings as a world leading trademark and patent practitioner for a number of years running.

“Melissa shares the team’s passion for life sciences and innovation and for delivering commercial results for clients,” said Mills Oakley chief executive John Nerurker.

“She is ideally placed to work with our existing IP partners, Dr Teresa Nicoletti, Blair Bevan and James Lawrence to drive the team’s strong growth story.”

Ms McGrath noted she was attracted by the firm’s holistic approach to IP matters and, particularly, its unique combined Life Sciences and IP offering.

“The Mills Oakley IP practice has a reputation for being at the cutting edge of technology and law,” she said.

“I am delighted to be joining a team that has market-leading depth and breadth and a genuine commitment to client service.”

Ms McGrath will commence in her role on Monday, 19 March.
