Rival firm ‘thrilled’ to recruit ex-NRF partner
A former banking and finance partner from Norton Rose Fulbright has been officially welcomed at a rival firm.

King & Wood Mallesons has officially announced the appointment of Dale Rayner (pictured) to its partnership after he joined the firm in January. He works in KWM’s banking and finance practice in Sydney.
He is a trusted adviser to leading financial institutions and banks, specialising in asset and structured finance, according to a statement from KWM. His banking and finance experience also includes derivatives, Islamic finance law and financing for clients in Papua New Guinea.
Mr Rayner previously held roles at HSBC and Societe Generale in Hong Kong and London. KWM said his extensive Asian connections will be “invaluable” to the firm.

“His wealth of legal and commercial expertise and his pre-eminent international reputation are a compelling offering for clients and will complement our existing capability as we continue to grow our banking and finance practice in both Australia and Asia.”
NRF recently lost two partners to Bird & Bird and one to Allens.
The firm also recruited a partner from Ashurst in January.
