The 11th annual Young Professionals Charity Ball will be held this Saturday, 16 September, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

Hosted by NSW Young Lawyers in collaboration with other professional bodies, the event will raise money for the Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS). RACS is the longest-running refugee legal centre in NSW and relies on donations to provide pro bono assistance to vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers.

This year’s charity ball is ’70s-themed – a great chance for young lawyers to experience a decade that now lives only in their parents’ memories. NSW Young Lawyers is encouraging guests to “dust off those bell-bottomed trousers and glitter jumpsuits” and get into the spirit of the night.

The event will feature live music, dinner, drinks and prize raffles. Tickets are $200 each or $1,900 for a table of 10, with all proceeds going directly to RACS. Those who are unable to attend can still purchase advanced raffle tickets through the Law Society of NSW website.

RACS principal solicitor Sarah Dale is a finalist in this year’s Women in Law Awards
