Aus firm recruits global partners
An Australian law firm has poached two banking and finance partners from global rivals.

Mills Oakley announced earlier this week that partners Monique Stella and Tom Lennox have joined its banking and finance teams in Melbourne and Sydney respectively.
Ms Stella acts for domestic and international clients in documenting financial transactions, ranging from finance for aged care facilities and commercial buildings to wind farms, according to a statement from Mills Oakley.
Mr Lennox specialises in structured finance in asset classes, including real estate, debt, transport and infrastructure. Mills Oakley said his work frequently involves cross-border structuring issues.
John Nerurker, CEO of Mills Oakley, said the new partner hires were in line with the firm’s strategy of building its end-to-end transactional capability.
“Financing is an integral part of any transaction and Monique has already assisted our property team with the refinancing of a Melbourne CBD property and Tom has assisted our corporate team with a refinancing matter concerning a Sydney client,” Mr Nerurker said.
“These hires represent a strong strategic fit and we are delighted to welcome Tom and Monique to our firm.”
