Financier advised on US$45m investment
Two firms have advised an Israeli education technology company on a US$45 million investment.

Key players: The Clifford Chance team was led by corporate and M&A partner Lance Sacks (pictured) and senior associate Angharad Lewis. The Loeb & Loeb team was led by deputy chair of capital markets and corporate Lloyd Rothenberg.
Deal significance: Slate Science is an Israeli education technology company based in New York.
Launched in 2012, the company's products are sold in more than 20 countries.
Leon Kamenev is an investor who has previously been advised by Clifford Chance in the shareholder agreements of Menulog Group and Just Eat. He is also the director and co-founder of Slate Science.
The investment by Mr Kamenev will help provide further opportunities for growth for Matific, Slate Science's web and mobile educational science and maths games product. The firm will now be able to boost its team for international sales while expanding its centre for research and development.
