Mobile services provider acquires competitor
Two firms advised on amaysim Australia Limited’s acquisition of Vaya Pty Limited.

Deal significance: ASX-listed amaysim Australia Limited (amaysim) and Vaya Pty Limited (Vaya) are both national mobile services providers.
Amaysim acquired 100 per cent of Vaya, with assets in Australia and the Philippines, for an enterprise value of $70 million, including a $20 million equity value.
Piper Alderman lead partner Esteban Gomez said: “The transaction needed to be executed quickly and we were able to resource the transaction at short notice during the Christmas and new year break. Both parties worked well together to achieve the right outcome within tight timeframes.”
