When China gives you lemons

A China-based citrus fruit producer has become a listed group in Australia, with assistance from a national firm.

Key players: Partner Alan Jessup (pictured) led the team assisted by associate Kimberley Levi.

Deal significance:

Dongfang is an agricultural food producer and the second-largest company in China harvesting citrus fruits.  It entered the citrus plantation industry in 2009.

“With the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement having been recently signed, we hope to see more Chinese companies listing on the ASX, providing new investment opportunities to Australian investors,” said Mr Jessup.
