Archer Capital finalises $220m acquisition

Three firms advised on the purchase of Dun & Bradstreet’s ANZ business by private equity firm Archer Capital, via newly formed Credit Data Solutions.

Firms: Johnson Winter & Slattery (Archer Capital), Minter Ellison (Dun & Bradstreet), Ashurst (financing)

Deal: Archer Capital acquired the consumer risk, commercial solutions and contingent collection businesses from Dun & Bradstreet.

Value: $220 million

Key players: The JWS team was led by private equity partner James Rozsa, leveraged finance partner David Beckett and partner Kellie Morton.

Deal significance:

Following the deal, Archer Capital’s Credit Data Solutions will become a partner within Dun & Bradstreet’s Worldwide Network. The partnership will preserve Dun & Bradstreet’s established B2B presence in the market for commercial solutions, according to a statement from JWS.

The statement suggested Archer Capital is one of Australia’s leading private equity firms, with $3 billion in funds under management. Since inception, Archer Capital’s Partners and executives have closed over 30 acquisitions involving total aggregate funding in excess of $5 billion.
