Minters and KWM act on pharma deal
The purchase of well known Australian pharmaceutical brands by an American industry giant was facilitated by Minter Ellison and King & Wood Mallesons.

Deal Significance: Elan Pharma, a subsidiary of the New York-listed Perrigo, acquired the over-the-counter brands from affiliates of Aspen Pharmacare, which is Africa’s largest generic drug maker. The basket of products is thought to generate at least $20 million in revenue. “Minter Ellison was very pleased to work closely with Perrigo on this acquisition, which expands its retail offering in Australia and New Zealand, while also having potential for expansion throughout Asia,” said Leigh Brown.
