Sydney man leads global team

Sydney-based partner Grant Koch led Allen & Overy’s team on the purchase of a firm within Deutsche Bank’s financial stable.

Key Players: A&O had a multitude of partners and lawyers from the firm’s global network working on the deal. M&A and private equity specialist Grant Koch (pictured) led the firm’s team, which included six partners from Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Dubai. Perth-based senior associate Luke Nicholls also worked on the deal. Latham & Watkins acted for registrar services.

Deal Significance: registrar services is part of Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Banking division. Shareholder analytics and Annual General Meeting mailing and tabulation is part of its suite of product offerings. Link Market Services is the global Link Group’s share registry, superannuation administration and shareholder and member analytics business. In Australia the Link Group looks after 4.5 million member accounts.
Both parties have entered into an agreement over the deal, which is yet to be completed.
