Firms: Baker & McKenzie (Moss Capital); Minter Ellison (Amalgamated Holdings Ltd)

Deal: Moss Capital’s acquisition of Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney from Amalgamated Holdings Ltd (AHL)

Value: Confidential

Area: Real estate

Key players: Bakers advised Moss Capital as the successful bidder for the Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney’s northwest. The Bakers team was led by partner David Jones (pictured) and senior associate Rahul Parrab, with assistance from associates William Houston, Bethany Armstrong and Harry Marples

Deal significance: The Featherdale Wildlife Park is one of the largest tourist attractions in western Sydney. AHL had owned the property since 1996. The purchase is a good strategic fit with Moss Capital’s recent acquisitions. The park will continue to operate business as usual.
