Bakers advises on foreign purchase of CO2 firm

Baker & McKenzie has advised the first foreign company to buy into an Australian CO2 firm, South Pole Carbon, a carbon project developer. 

Baker & McKenzie also acted for the target company, Climate Friendly Pty Ltd.

South Pole Carbon acquired a majority stake in Australian carbon offset provider, Climate Friendly Pty Ltd.

Partners David Egan, Martijn Wilder and Tim Sherman, assisted by associate Michael Dearden, led the Baker & McKenzie team advising South Pole.

The Baker & McKenzie team advising Carbon Friendly was led by partner James Halliday and associate Melinda Tun.
