Bakers and Addisons advise on major share placement

Baker & McKenzie and Addisons Lawyers have advised on a $44 million Ainsworth Technology share placement.

Firms: Baker & McKenzie (Macquarie Capital as underwriter), Addisons (issuer)

Deal: Ainsworth Technology’s fully underwritten share placement 

Area:  Corporate

Value: $44 million

Key players: Partner Craig Andrade led the Bakers team, which included associate Cathy Chan.  Partner Andrew Reilly also provided international securities law advice.

Deal significance: Andrade intends to use the capital raised to fund future growth in the Americas, develop new products, expand R&D, pay down debt and redeem outstanding convertible notes.

"We were pleased to be instructed by Macquarie on this important capital raising for Ainsworth,” said Andrade.
