Sparke Helmore Lawyers has announced the appointment of a new partner, who joins the firm after nine years at Gadens.

Sparke Helmore Lawyers has announced the appointment of a new partner, who joins the firm after nine years at Gadens.

Andrew Lind (pictured) has joined the firm as partner in its corporate and commercial group, based in Sydney.

Mr Lind brings to the role more than 25 years’ experience in advising on corporate and commercial matters, with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions.

Throughout his career Mr Lind has advised on a number of private treaty acquisitions and disposals, public company takeovers and schemes of arrangement, IPOs and fundraising, corporate structuring, and capital management matters.

His extensive client base includes major and medium-sized corporates in a number of sectors, including financial services, media and telecommunications, private equity, aged care, building materials, energy and resources, fast-moving consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

Emma Musgrave (née Ryan) is the managing editor, professional services at Momentum Media.

Emma has worked for Momentum Media since 2015, including five years spent as the editor of the company's legal brand - Lawyers Weekly. Throughout her time at Momentum, she has been responsible for breaking some of the biggest stories in corporate Australia. In addition, she has produced exclusive multimedia and event content related to the company's respective brands and audiences. 

Prior to joining Momentum Media, Emma worked in breakfast radio, delivering news to the Central West region of NSW, before taking on a radio journalist role at Southern Cross Austereo, based in Townsville, North Queensland.

She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree from Charles Sturt University.
