Harold Werksman and Sylvia Fernandez (both pictured) have joined Thomson Geer’s Sydney dispute resolution team from Holding Redlich.

They have more than 56 years of experience between them.

Mr Werksman was most recently Holding Redlich's national dispute resolution team leader, and spent the last 18 years building the firm's Sydney disputes team.

He is an accredited commercial litigation and mediation specialist and practices with particular emphasis on corporate, commercial, contract interpretation and trade practices disputes.

Ms Fernandez is an experienced litigator, focusing on commercial and complex litigation, principally in the areas of contract and trade practices law.

Mr Werksman said that he and Ms Fernandez believe there are exciting opportunities with Thomson Geer and they look forward to "further developing the litigation reputation of the firm".

Two senior associates, Jodi Walkom and Nicholas Riordan, and two lawyers have also joined Thomson Geer.

In 2015 Thomson Geer lost senior associate Kate Chinnery, who left to take up the role of special counsel at Minter Ellison’s Adelaide office, while corporate partner Jason Lambeth joined Thomson Geer as his fourth firm in five years.
