Russells picks Minters’ pockets

Minter Ellison has lost special counsel Rupert Copeman-Hill to Russells.

Minter Ellison has lost special counsel Rupert Copeman-Hill to Russells.

After just over two years at Minters, Copeman-Hill (pictured) will join Russell’s corporate division as team leader.

He specialises in M&A, private equity transactions, capital raisings, corporate law duties and corporate governance issues and has worked as a lawyer in the UK and the Middle East.

Russells’ managing partner Stephen Russell said, “Copeman-Hill has provided corporate advice to several blue-chips, Fortune 500 and internationally recognised corporations.

“We are pleased to announce Copeman-Hill’s appointment and know his leadership of the corporate division will ensure our clients receive exceptional professional advice and will assist in the future growth of the firm.”

In August Russells made another significant addition to its Queensland office through the appointment of former head of legal at The Royal Bank of Scotland in Hong Kong, Fraser Ross.

Earlier this month Minters nabbed Herbert Smith Freehills’ chief operating officer Janet Young and lost Dr Richard Dammery to Woolworths.
