A former Meyer Vandenberg Lawyers partner will head up Clayton Utz's workplace relations, employment and safety practice in Canberra.
She has experience managing Federal Court industrial litigation, defending discrimination claims in the Australian Human Rights Commission, and representing clients in matters before the Fair Work Commission.
She has also previously worked as a principal government lawyer for the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
"Clayton Utz's public sector and workplace relations practices are the best in the country. I am excited to be able to offer my clients a first-rate integrated service," she said.
Canberra partner-in-charge Alexandra Wedutenko commented on the appointment: "Both our public and private sector clients will benefit from Jennifer's experience in front-end policy and drafting as well as back-end industrial relations dispute resolution."
The appointment follows revelations this month that up to 40 roles have been made redundant across Clutz’s Sydney and Melbourne offices.
