Clayton Utz partner firm-hops to Gadens

Clayton Utz’s recently appointed partner Stephen Moulton has accepted a position at Gadens.

Moulton (pictured) joined Clayton Utz only two and a half years ago in their corporate advisory and M&A practice in Melbourne.

He has now moved to Gadens and will take on the role of partner in their corporate advisory & tax group.

 
 

“Stephen will be a valuable addition to the firm and we are delighted to have him on board", said Grant Scott-Hayward, Gadens’ Melbourne chief executive officer.

Moulton was previously a partner – legal at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a chairman of partners and a former managing partner of Mills Oakley.

Moulton specialises in corporate advisory, M&A, financial services and employee share schemes.

His appointment follows Gadens lateral hire of Hunt & Hunt’s partner Andrew Hudson in July and the appointment of Peter Poulos from KPMG in November last year.

In June, Ashurst pinched Clayton Utz partner Angus Foley for its infrastructure practice in Sydney.

Earlier this month, Clayton Utz took Gilbert + Tobin’s information technology partner Ken Saurajen.
