DLA takes a tech head
DLA Piper has poached the head of technology, media and telecommunications at Gilbert + Tobin.
Sydney-based partner Peter Jones (pictured) joined DLA’s intellectual property and technology practice yesterday (2 June).
Jones counts financial institutions, technology companies, public sector organisations and telecoms providers among his clients.
DLA dropped two senior partners in May, both based in Melbourne. The head of the firm’s government litigation group defected to Moray & Agnew, and Melbourne managing partner Peter Monk joined boutique firm Hive Legal as a principal.
Last month also saw DLA hire HWL Ebsworth partner Kon Tsiakis, a Melbourne-based cross border insolvency expert.
