Gadens gets a partner to bank on
Ashurst partner Tim Lipscombe has joined the banking & finance group at Gadens.
Lipscombe (pictured) was a partner at Ashurst for almost nine years prior to his recent appointment, which took effect yesterday (1 June).
When asked about his reasons for joining Gadens, Lipscombe said: “I have been particularly drawn to Gadens culture, the collegiality of the banking team and the cross practice cooperation between the banking, property, corporate, insolvency and tax teams.”
The appointment follows the departure of Gadens insurance partner Ray Giblett, who joined Norton Rose Fulbright in April.
In February this year Doug Stipanicev, who joined Gadens from Herbert Smith Freehills in 2012, took the helm of the firm’s Perth office.
That same month Gadens laid off 20 lawyers, including three partners, from its Brisbane office.
