Melbourne litigation lawyer Peter Haig (pictured) and Sydney M&A lawyer Kate Towey, along with Linh Bui, who is based in Ho Chi Minh City, have been promoted to partner.

Haig specialises in class actions, regulatory investigations, arbitration and international business obligations.

Towey works on major M&A and equity capital markets transactions across a range of sectors, including the real estate investment trust (REIT) sector.

The appointments follow the lateral hire of financial services partner Michelle Levy, who joined Allens in June from King & Wood & Mallesons.

Allens also dropped a partner earlier this year when dispute resolution partner Stephen McComish joined Jones Day to lead the firm’s new Perth office.
