Lavan adds two B&F partners
Perth firm Lavan Legal has appointed two new partners to its banking & finance team, one a lateral hire and the other an internal promotion.
Jennifer Handz (pictured) and Ben Fong will start as partners in the firm’s Banking & Finance and Corporate Services practice on 6 January 2014.
Prior to joining Chadbourne & Parke, Handz was an in-house senior counsel at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and, prior to that, managed of the Hanoi office of Freehills prior to its merger with Herbert Smith.
Fong joined Lavan as a special counsel in February 2012 after a 12-year stint in the corporate finance practice at Allens. Fong is a qualified chartered accountant and, prior to joining Allens, was a senior tax adviser at PwC in Melbourne and Perth.
Lavan has 20 partners and 180 staff.
