Government expert joins Moray & Agnew
A highly-experienced government lawyer has joined Moray & Agnew as a special counsel.
Canberra-based Scott Moloney (pictured) has experience in defending judicial review and merits review applications and common law claims, and providing advice on administrative law issues, statutory interpretation and discretionary compensation mechanisms to a range of Commonwealth departments and agencies.
Moloney previously practised in the government and administrative law practice of Clayton Utz.
He has completed several senior-level secondments with government clients throughout his career; he is also a legal officer in the Royal Australian Navy Reserve and regularly provides advice to Australian Defence Force members on a range of legal issues, including administrative inquiries, Freedom of Information applications, Privacy Act issues, legislative projects and criminal law proceedings.
Moloney’s appointment is in line with Moray & Agnew’s strategy to strengthen its position as a leading provider of legal services to the Federal Government.
