Henry Davis York (HDY) has enticed a pair of partners from Ashurst.
Read and Arkwright are highly experienced in construction and infrastructure projects, particularly for the NSW and the Commonwealth governments and also in the private sector.
"Graham and Kevin will increase the bench strength in our government practice, particularly in relation to large infrastructure, projects and PPP work," said Sharon Cook (pictured), HDY's managing partner.
"Their appointment as partners will enable us to accelerate our strategy and achieve our vision of being a tier-one firm, with a tier-one government practice.”
In 2011, HDY launched a strategy to become a tier -one law firm practising nationally by growing its focus in banking & financial services and government.
Michael Greene, partner and head of HDY's government practice, said the pair would bring significant major projects capability and credentials to HDY and enable the firm to strengthen and grow its government practice, including developing its Commonwealth practice.
