Thomsons Reins in gaming heavyweight
The former head of national leisure and entertainment at Clayton Utz, Tony Rein, has joined Thomsons Lawyers as a partner.
Chief executive partner Adrian Tembel said Thomsons believes in the strength and growth potential of the gaming and leisure industry and was now positioned to provide a full service across the whole spectrum of the industry.
"Tony and Brett's combined experience of over 50 years in this industry makes them a truly formidable force," he said.
Over the last two decades, Rein has advised on almost all gaming and wagering law in Australia and has acted in many of the major transactions in the sector.
Rein works with domestic and international gaming clients on the full spectrum of matters, including mergers, acquisitions, floats, joint ventures, long-term commercial arrangements, government privatisations, industry restructures, regulation and dispute resolution.
"At Thomsons, I have the opportunity to be part of delivering something really special to the gaming and leisure industry both here and in the wider Asia-Pacific region," said Rein.
