Victorian barrister joins Foley's list

Young BA (Hons) LLB (Hons) is highly regarded for her expertise in commercial law, both as a solicitor and as a barrister. Her appointment will enhance Foley’s ability to work with barristers and solicitors to resource commercial law matters, the company said today.
“Having worked as a barrister and a solicitor I understand the needs of briefing solicitors and those of counsel. I look forward to connecting solicitors with the Foley’s List barristers across all practice areas,” Young said.
Prior to signing the Bar Roll in 2008, Young worked as a solicitor in a mid-size Melbourne firm with a strong commercial practice. She has also worked with two of the biggest Australian law firms in practice areas including mergers and acquisitions, project and corporate finance, technology law and taxation.
Young was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2004, and in 2005 was an associate to a Federal Court Judge.
Foley’s CEO, John Kelly said Young is a valuable addition the team of barristers’ clerks.
