Promotions announced at Gadens

Gadens Lawyers in Melbourne has promoted three new partners and three senior associates in the key areas of banking, finance, insolvency and property.

Annette Gaber, Kirsten Ganley and Ivan Hristovski were promoted recently, along with senior associates Jenelle Cramer, Sean Huggins and David Castellino in the firm’s property group.

The firm’s CEO, Grant Scott-Hayward, said: "These appointments recognise the hard work and commitment to our clients and the firm of each of Annette, Kirsten and Ivan, as well as our newly promoted senior associates … We are very pleased to be able to promote people of such high calibre, ensuring the ongoing provision of outstanding service for our clients.”

With extensive litigation experience, Gaber represents large financial institutions and commercial entities in complex disputes across varied judicial jurisdictions and was recently appointed a member of the Law Institute of Victoria Courts Practice Committee. Her primary focus is on banking and finance litigation but she also practises in general commercial and insolvency litigation.

Ganley practises in all aspects of securities enforcement, insolvency (formal appointments, reconstructions and work-outs), risk management and general commercial disputes.  She represents large financial institutions and has significant experience in banking &finance litigation and insolvency.

Hristovski’s experience is focused on directors’ duties – having acted for, amongst others, the non-executive directors of Centro – as well as class actions, large corporate reconstructions, deeds of company arrangements, receiverships, liquidations, securities and debt recovery. He acts for large corporate entities, receivers, administrators, liquidators, government bodies and small business enterprises.
