Hynes Lawyers, a firm with an office in Sydney and Brisbane, has hired a lawyer from London’s Dundas & Wilson to its corporate team.
Hynes Lawyers, a firm with an office in Sydney and Brisbane, has hired a lawyer from London’s Dundas & Wilson to its corporate team.
Before his time at UK firm Dundas & Wilson, Robertson was a partner in the London office of US firm Greenberg Traurig Maher.
Robertson’s main focus is on corporate and commercial work, focusing on transactional and projects work, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, particularly in the energy and resources sectors.
Robertson has advised Scottish and Southern Energy on its proposed bid for British Energy plc, as well as on various transactions including the acquisitions of Fiddlers Ferry and Ferrybridge Power Stations, Atlantic Energy and Slough Heat and Power and on the disposal of Thermal Transfer, his new firm said.
He advised Scotia Gas Networks plc, on its £3.2bn acquisition of two gas distribution networks from NGT, AstraZeneca plc on its US$1.8bn disposal of its AstraTech subsidiary to Dentsply, and UK-based Anesco and its management on a £6m renewables start up, with funding from SSE Ventures and Zouk.
