A relatively new law firm spearheaded by former Harmers Workplace Lawyers partner Joydeep Hor, has hired a new director from Gadens Lawyers.

The boutique workplace law firm, People + Culture Strategies (PCS), has hired workplace partner Kathryn Dent to take the post, which she will take up from January 2012.

Dent joins PCS from Gadens Lawyers where she was a partner in the workplace relations practice.

Hor, PCS managing partner and founder, said Dent's values and skills compliment the firm business model.

“Kathryn is well-known for her exceptional knowledge and contribution to Australian workplace law and has a reputation for providing pragmatic and effective advice,” he said.

Dent joins Hor and fellow founding director Nichola Constant, bringing the total PCS team to 12 lawyers, in addition to the consulting services of leading workplace law academic professor Joellen Riley.

Since opening its doors in late 2010, PCS has secured more than 220 employers as clients, including Mars, Coca-Cola, Cochlear, DB Schenker and the Reserve Bank.

“Our proposition is unique in the legal space.  We have developed a comprehensive offering that goes beyond the realms of traditional law firms.  In addition to dispute resolution and advisory services, we provide clients with training, strategy consulting, audits and business optimisation solutions," said Hor.
