GADENS Sydney has hired a Gilbert + Tobin lawyer to its competition and consumer law practice.
The firm announced the appointment of special counsel, Merridy Woodroffe, whose expertise is in competition and regulatory advice, litigation services, compliance training and corporate and commercial advice.
Before moving into private practice, Woodroffe was assistant director at the ACCC where she specialised in restrictive trade practices advice and litigation, as well as performing legal, economic and risk analysis over a broad range of Australian businesses and industries.
John Dalzell, head of litigation and dispute resolution at Gadens Sydney welcomed the new recruit to the firm. He said her extensive competition experience would help bolster the firm's advisory services. He said she would also offer a valuable and unique insight into the approach of the national regulator.
