Mills Oakley builds Sydney team
Mills Oakley Lawyers has hired building and construction expert Lindsay Stirton as a partner.
Mills Oakley moves to new offices in Sydney.
Stirton comes to Mills Oakley from DLA Piper. He has more than 20 years’ experience as a specialist infrastructure and construction lawyer, with particular expertise in tendering and commercial contracts for construction and engineering projects.
The government sector has been a particular interest over the last decade and his clients include various Commonwealth and state government departments.
Stirton has experience in tender preparation and contract documentation, as well as advising clients on their rights and obligations under existing contracts.
Mills Oakley chief executive John Nerurker said Lindsay’s capabilities were well known to the partnership and within the industry.
“Partners in our construction practice have worked on the other side of the table from Lindsay for at least a decade. There is a lot of mutual respect between Lindsay and our existing partners and in the legal profession generally. He will make an ideal addition to our team,” Nerurker said.
