Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has hired former Clifford Chance senior associate Alexis Kyriakoulis as a partner in its corporate, projects and finance practice in London.
The appointment, which took effect on 8 May, sees Kyriakoulis bring the benefit of his close ties with the London, Greek and Balkan corporate communities to HFW.
Kyriakoulis will work in the corporate team alongside the existing competition practices of Konstantinos Adamantopoulos and Eliza Petritsi, as well as with the Piraeus office team, to develop the firm's practice in those and other markets in the region.
Kyriakoulis’ practice, which was developed over 10 years with Clifford Chance, focuses on corporate finance, M&A, privatisations and restructurings, primarily in the energy, commodities, ports and terminals and TMT sectors.
Alistair Mackie, head of the firm's corporate, projects and finance practice said Kyriakoulis joins at a time when “we are seeing significant activity in the markets he covers and we expect to see further opportunities arising as those economies become more competitive".
