M+K nabs property principal

Melbourne-based firm M+K Lawyers has recruited business and property law expert John Turnbull as a principal.

Formerly a founding partner of Melbourne-based firm Mason Sier Turnbull, Turnbull has over 30 years’ experience and is one of few lawyers to secure both property law and business law accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria.

Turnbull has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring and shareholder disputes, as well as a broad range of commercial and retail property experience including due diligence, subdivision, off-the-plan and physical sales.

Besides heading M+K’s property group, Turnbull will continue to offer a broad range of business legal services to clients.

“I anticipate that this will continue to be quite a difficult year in the property sector, but the broad business perspective that I bring to M+K will help clients recognise that in even difficult times there is opportunity,” he said.
