Ex-lawyer Philip Jenks - who runs a company selling unusual law-themed gifts - has an interesting and very different job offer for Oz lawyers after something more.

Jenks is looking for someone, preferably an ex-lawyer, to take the reins of the company's down-under development.

The British company, Carbolic Smoke Ball, sells a multitude of appropriate and not-so-appropriate gifts, via a website, for professionals including doctors, accountants, bankers and lawyers and receives a significant portion of business from Australia.

To save his Australian customers from the rather large shipping costs, Jenks would like to open a Carbolic offshoot and figured an ex-lawyer, like him, would be the best person for the job.

The company's website sells quirky presents for lawyers, such as an "I Love Rich Clients" mug or "Trust me, I'm a lawyer" cufflinks, as well as other accessories, books, maps, coasters, clothing and stuff for the office and home.

Other gifts which caught the attention of Folklaw include the "happily divorced" cufflinks; the "shark tie" as a "witty present to predatory lawyers" or the "junior partner" bib, for those lawyers who want to encourage their children at an early age.

If you're thinking this job sounds like you - and to see the other unusual gifts available - visit the company's website: www.carbolicsmokeball.com.

Folklaw thinks anyone interested in running the Australian branch should probably buy themselves the "future former lawyer" mug and "anticipate liberation day".
