Italy wants YOU
Gays are not allowed to serve in the army in Italy, and now the government may reconsider its discriminatory selection process. Police said their suspicions were aroused after a military doctor made an official complaint that more than 150 men from Burggrafenamt and Vinschgauhad in South Tyrol had claimed to be homosexual.
Men are exempt if they can get a medical certificate from their local GP confirming their sexual orientation. It seems like an odd thing to be diagnosed for at your local GP, but there it is.
Got a Life
This is perhaps more apt for our Get a life section, which encourages our readers to do just that. Folklaw received a change of email message from a business development contact and was immediately envious, which was no doubt the desired effect.
The new email, instead of stating the man’s name, says surfsouthpacific, on which he can apparently be contacted from today. We are not sure, however, how welcome business queries will be.
