Colin Biggers & Paisley grows insurance team
Colin Biggers & Paisley has added to its insurance team with the appointment of a new senior associate.
Sydney-based Azat Valiyff has taken to his new role at Colin Biggers & Paisley, effective immediately.
Mr Valiyff brings with him a wealth of expertise in financial institutions and directors and officers insurance, as well as professional indemnity insurance, a statement from Colin Biggers & Paisley noted.
The firm added that Mr Valiyff has extensive experience in insurance litigation, focusing on professional indemnity and directors and officers litigation, complex coverage claims, cyber litigation, employment practices and life insurance.
Colin Biggers & Paisley co-head of insurance Gavin Creighton congratulated Mr Valiyff on his new role, noting his appointment will strengthen the insurance team’s capabilities, particularly in the areas of professional indemnity and cyber security.
“Financial lines is an important part of our practice, and Azat is a welcome addition to the team,” Mr Creighton said.
“He will support our existing focus areas of directors and officers, professional indemnity, and cyber security.”
Mr Valiyff said he was equally excited to join the firm.
“It is a privilege to join an industry-leading financial lines team working alongside renowned experts such as Keith Bethlehem and Amanda Ryding,” he said.
“I am looking forward to working with the team, as it continues to provide exceptional and commercial solutions for our clients.”
The appointment of Mr Valiyff comes after Colin Biggers & Paisley hired special counsel April Campbell last month. Ms Campbell also joined the Sydney-based insurance team.
