THE INDUSTRIAL practice of Truman Hoyle has grown with the promotion of Karen Bohm to the position of senior lawyer and the appointment of James Baxter to lawyer.
In her new role at Truman Hoyle, Bohm advises many of the firm’s communications, technology and energy law clients on industrial matters. She is assisting the defence team in one of New South Wales’ largest occupational health and safety prosecutions.
Baxter has been appointed to the industrial practice to assist the firm’s clients with WorkChoices compliance.
“The industrial practice has proved to be a key component of our new economy services offering,” managing partner, Shane Barber, said.
“While technology and intellectual property rights go some way to protecting ideas and information, employee management is an essential part of that task. We are very pleased to see [Bohm’s] promotion and to have [Baxter] join us.”
