TWO NEW senior associates have been appointed at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts.

Chloe McLoughlin was promoted to the position in the commercial team in Wellington, whereas Chris Simmons has rejoined the firm in its environment division in Auckland.

 
 

McLoughlin advises both public and private sector clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. Her fields of expertise include information technology, intellectual property and media/entertainment law.

Her experience includes drafting, reviewing and advising on a variety of commercial agreements, advising clients on a range of commercial compliance issues, advising on intellectual property issues, and providing general company law and corporate governance advice. She has also worked on secondment for New Zealand Post, the State Services Commission and the New Zealand Film Commission.

Simmons is an experienced environmental lawyer who recently returned to the firm after three years in the UK, where he worked as an associate for Reed Smith Richards Butler in London, and as a solicitor for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

Simmons advises clients on a broad range of resource management and planning matters. He has been actively involved in resource consent applications and appeals, and has made numerous appearances in the Environment Court.

He also has extensive experience in dealing with environmental aspects of real estate and corporate finance transactions.
