QUEENSLAND FIRM MacDonnells Law has added three new lawyers to its Brisbane team.

Two of the firm’s graduates, Amanda Fleming and Dan Ford, who were admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as legal practitioners in mid-March, have joined the family law and litigation groups. MacDonnells also welcomed lawyer Tania Carvalho, who brings expertise to the commercial and wills and estates group.

Fleming conducts all types of family law matters including complex property matters, children’s matters and divorce. Her family law experience is supported by her previous position as judge’s associate to the Hon Justice KGW Mackenzie in the Supreme Court.

Ford is a member of the firm’s litigation group and conducts commercial matters, with a particular interest in intellectual property disputes. He has experience as a former associate to the Hon Judge Forno QC in the Brisbane District Court.

Representing clients in a wide range of commercial transactions and activities, Carvalho advises on the buying and selling of businesses, share sale arrangements, commercial and retail leasing, establishment of partnerships and business arrangements and due diligence matters.

She gained experience in England, where she worked as a lawyer for Southampton City Council and Hampshire County Council.
