Catriona Battaglia and Caroline Skeoch have been promoted to principal lawyers at FCW Lawyers. The advancements mean that the firm’s four out of six principal lawyers are female and all six are working parents.

Commenting on the promotions, managing principal Andrew Douglas said: “It is wonderful to see the internal promotion of two valued colleagues.

The firm said it is seeking to actively support the new generation of leaders who have all worked hard to “create a culture that provides opportunities and diverse, challenging and rewarding client work” so that they can continue to “flourish”.

Ms Battaglia will continue her focus on insolvency and commercial litigation, while Ms Skeoch focuses on local government commercial advice and prosecutions as well as providing added strength to the firm’s service offering.

“It is fantastic to take this next step alongside Caroline, as we have shared our journey, both professional and personal, over the last few years,” Ms Battaglia said.

“We have been fortunate to have worked alongside strong, inclusive leaders, who actively support our development; and now as principal lawyers of the firm, it is our turn to bring the next generation along.”
