THREE PARTNERS have been made up from within the ranks of Henry Davis York, bringing the total number of partners to 47, including six additions in the last 18 months.
Civardi advises a wide range of corporate clients, including in the pharmaceutical and funds management industries, on fundraisings, business and share acquisitions, corporate restructures and joint ventures, commercial contracts, and distribution and supply arrangements.
Fellow partner Mortimer advises Australian- and overseas-based clients, largely in the private equity sphere, on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital raisings, corporate finance transactions, corporate restructurings, and service and supply arrangements.
According to corporate advisory partner and group leader, Scott Murray, “the appointment of [Civardi] and [Mortimer] reflects HDY’s response to the growing needs of its clients in this diverse practice area.”
Flynn advises clients on termination of employment, redundancy, and transmission of business issues; union rights of entry; defending unfair dismissal, unfair contract claims and discrimination complaints; interpretation and drafting of workplace agreements; representing clients in relation to industrial disputes and recovery of money claims; and advising employers on occupational health and safety issues, including defending WorkCover prosecutions.
“The appointment of [Flynn] boosts the group’s capacity to provide clients with proactive advice for the better management of their workforce,” workplace relations and safety partner and group leader Tony Woods said.
