COMMERCIAL LAW firm Thomson Playford has welcomed the appointment of Geoff Brennan and Dan Kramer as partners. The firm also announced the promotion of two new senior associates in Donna Ebert and Tara Page.
Coming to the firm’s corporate team in 2004 from Cowley Hearne, Kramer has extensive experience advising major multinational and local corporations across a broad spectrum of industries in Australia, the United Kingdom and South Africa. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, fundraisings, joint ventures and general corporate and commercial law. Until recently, Kramer served as general counsel on the board of directors of a multinational IT company listed on the Taiwan and Johannesburg securities exchanges.
“In promoting these aspiring lawyers, we recognise their leadership, integrity and commitment to providing excellence in legal service, and importantly, their ability to mentor and grow our team of legal experts,” chief executive Brett Goodridge said.
New senior associate Ebert began working for the firm in 2003 as a member of its insurance team. She is involved in the handling of claims for a wide client base including a large number of insurers and underwriting agents. Fellow senior associate Page began in 2004 in the corporate division, and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate advisory and general commercial work.
Apart from these appointments, 11 lawyers also rose to the position of associate.
