Eakin McCaffery Cox bolsters building and construction practice
Eakin McCaffery Cox has confirmed it has hired a lead partner to bolster the firm’s building and construction law practice.
Linda Holland has been welcomed to Eakin McCaffery Cox this month in a move that will see her drive the firm’s building and construction law practice.
Prior to her appointment at Eakin McCaffery Cox, Ms Holland held senior roles at Gillis Delaney Lawyers and ITC Law, and also at Devonshires, in London.
In addition to her roles in private practice, Ms Holland is a member of both the National Women in Construction organisation and the Society of Construction Law Australia.
“We are very pleased to be expanding our Building and Construction Law practice,” said Tim Eakin, chairman of partners at Eakin McCaffery Cox.
“We’re delighted to have a practitioner of Linda’s calibre and integrity join the partnership and take on the leadership role she has been given.
“Linda will build upon the firm’s capacity to provide integrated services to clients across building and construction, and related dispute resolution areas.”
Commenting on her new role, Ms Holland said: “I am very excited to be joining the highly regarded team at Eakin McCaffery Cox.
“Besides being a major contributor to Australia’s economy, construction is a highly complex and technical area, and the claims and disputes that arise out of construction projects often involve multiple issues.
“The resolution of these disputes requires a variety of complementary skills, which the Eakin McCaffery Cox team can provide.”
