Hunt & Hunt recruits principal, promotes several others
Hunt & Hunt has gained a new principal and elevated several of its staff as part of its midyear promotions round.
Firstly, the firm has welcomed Andrew Ham as the newest principal of its Melbourne office.
As per a statement from the firm, Mr Ham holds “extensive experience in financial services regulation” and “is an expert in the commercial and regulatory issues arising in the financial services industry”.
“Andrew has a reputation for providing prompt, practical advice in plain English. He is a great fit with Hunt & Hunt’s Genuine People, Practical Solutions ethos,” Hunt & Hunt Victoria managing principal Tony Raunic added.
“Andrew’s experience in the financial sector expands the depth of our banking and finance practice, allowing us to provide our clients with a broader array of services in this sector.”
Mr Ham’s new role will see him work alongside fellow Hunt & Hunt Melbourne principal Richard Williams.
“Andrew’s expanding interest in rapidly evolving financial products such as cryptocurrency, financial technology products, and digital payment services adds another dimension to our renowned experience in financial services regulation under Richard,” Mr Raunic said.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Ham said: “I look forward to working closely with Richard and Hunt & Hunt’s client base, continuing to support them by providing solutions to their legal and compliance challenges in the rapidly changing finance space, and helping them to grow and meet their strategic goals.”
In addition to the hire of Mr Ham, Hunt & Hunt has elevated several staff off the back of a “rapid growth” period across the firm’s offices.
Effective 1 July, Kate Bishop has been promoted to legal practice director, Culshaw Miller.
Sebastian Greenway has been promoted to principal, Hunt & Hunt, Melbourne, while Anna Shaw, Ebru Campos, Jing Wang and Lachlan O'Brien have been elevated to senior associate roles, also in Melbourne.

Jessica Egger has been promoted to associate, also at Hunt & Hunt Sydney, while Laura Andreazza has been promoted to associate at Hunt & Hunt, Griffith and Michelle Duggan has been promoted to associate at Hunt & Hunt Darwin.
“We congratulate each of these 10 staff members on their significant achievements,” Mr Raunic said.
“The promotion of these seven women and three men showcases the depth of talent in our younger lawyers and demonstrates at Hunt & Hunt we have a commitment to gender equity.”
